me vs alex on lunch round 2

alex came over to work today and we decided to hit 75 and see what his mods had gotten him, north bound i pulled on him from a 70 kick i would say and on the way back it was about dead even, but it was from 90 and i was in 4th.
traffic was getting in the way so we only hit it a few times but it wont be the last time. at the track we will be a good match i think. and i hope his cars runs what they say it should cause that means my car is runnin damn good lol

Alex's car needs a driver mod lol......it should pull off a 13.5-13.6 if he hooks. Your car should be clicking off 13.8s or so if it's in the same form as it was before. He told me he pulled you nearly 3 cars to 125.

Yeah, I am. These are 4.6's, not broke ass pushrod cars. I had 130K on the clock when I ticked off that 13.6, my trans needs(needed) synchros, the rear end was shot, and the car needed tuned like it was noone's business.

Besides, Davis' car is a freshly rebuilt 4.6, and Alex's car should be putting around 270-280 to the wheels. (provided its a good port, and the tune is there)

Alex should have a 300hp engine, and Davis should have a 270-275 hp engine.

My car was runnin a 13.5 on street tires with an intake, 1.7 RR, gears, TB and mass air. thats not reallly modding the hell out of it, however still better than the times i see you posting. :P

Ok. I havent had my car through a quarter you are right. I have had it to russel springs and ran an 8.58 in the 1/8th though. (if you look at the conversions that is below a 13.5 in the 1/4) before the top end, injectors and driveshaft. But if all goes well i should have it to the track this summer then i will be able to show you the 12.XX timeslips.

Yea i would like to find out that way. I hate street racing but am gonna def try to get to the track some this summer. Problem is I never have a chance to get home much between work and school and this summer i have a class all the month of june.

Timeslips? for the 1/8th?

My car should be well under 13.5's as well, the way its sitting. Probably close to 12's, but doubtful.

Those better be some deep 12 slips, as well...

Edit: It should be known that I don't hate pushrod Mustangs, my first comment was to a friend of mine about the reliability of 4.6's, and nothing really to do with the bashing of pushrod powered Mustangs. Sharad however, openly bashes the modular motor and for that I think he owes me food... :laugh:

I got my fingers crossed to have it at the shootout if we still have one. Kinda funny I'm gonna be there with a car that has a Glide with a trans brake and a 9 rear end, but a LT1 with some spray, headers, throttle body, powering all that. Hopefully I can make my car look intimidating off the line and see shock across people's faces and then when I make it to the other end of the track I hear this overwhelming roar of laughter when I click off a 13.9 :laugh:

with all that you better pull better than a 13.9. how much spray? It should for sure be in the 12's shouldnt it? I'm hoping for a 12.5 on motor but unless my car takes a serious turn from the way its running now (for me anyway) its gonna be like a 15.5
