P 40 sighting

Well i was out tonight and spotted him so i ran him down and ask him to run he said pull over so i did. His passenger said is that a stock neon or a srt 10, than replies can i see under the hood i said no my hood latch is broke and im covering the boost guage the whole time. Than he saids want me to start it up i said no i heard it. He said he was putting 300 real wheel horsepower :lmao2: . I said whats done to that beast he reply tune port injection and shaved and bore head 60 over his exact words lol. Than i said whats it called he said a p 40 special edition. Than i said well lets run them he said no not tonight its not that i doubt my car its just that i had to have a employee come pick me up at PCDC lol im rolling by now. I was ok whats it run he said it should run 14's, than his passenger said na its least 13's than the driver agree i said thirteen what he said flat on street tires and ask me to go to london and i reply back im from london. I said what does it trap a 105 and he said atleast a 115 and his passenger said he had a nissan truck that trapped a 120 i bout died. Than i ask him to race again i said come on ill spot you a couple cars he's like no ill race you next tuesday i have to work out of town tonight and till next monday , i said alright he said for 20 dollars i said how bout a 100 he said no. Than he ask for my number i made up a bogus one and he ask me where i lived i said london, and than i said where do you live he reply im homeless i said no, than he said no literally i am.

The guy then replied and I qoute " I had 91 Blazer that was special ordered with a 4.6 v-6 it ran an 12.86 on street tires at 137 mph." I told him that those 4.6 v-6's are rare :lmao2: and that he should have kept it he replied he lost it in a pinks race lmfao. I walked away because I knew I was either going to die laughing or tell him that he was a fucktard. Does anyone who these people are?

P-40 is a WWII era fighter aircraft built by Curtiss Aircraft. What I think started the P-40 stuff here is an intake (I think?) for Mustangs called the P-51. This, as well as the Ford Mustang itself, is named after another WWII era fighter, the P-51 Mustang. So I think the person in question has came up with something as a 'special edition' along the same line. Just my thoughts, no way from me to know for sure.

And honestly, being that a P-40 is a fighter plane, thats actually the only reason I opened this thread haha.

While the the fighter was named after the horse by the British, the car was indeed named after the plane. Stylist John Najjar was a huge fan of the P-51 Mustang and suggested they name the car 'Mustang' because of that. So while it can still be tied into the horses, the plane was the inspiration that caused the car to be named Mustang. This all dates back to the Mustang I concept.

Yes and no. Really the only resemblances are they are both single engine, single seat fighters with a liquid-cooled V12. If you actually looked at them both side by side, theres a lot of differences.
