i have a cetme sporter 308 by century arms. It is a g3 clone and i love it. I traded around for it also. It is an awesome weapon, shoots great, never jams, little recoil, and very accurate. If i were you i would keep the g3 rather than getting an ar15.

I would love to shoot one thats full auto. If you decide to sell any of the mags let me know.

I'll try to get in touch with you in a couple weeks, Phillip. We have several .308WIN Rifles, so ammo shouldn't be a problem. Any particular brand that it likes better than the others?

i have actually shot it alot. Shoots great. Having a hard time getting the scope to hold the sights?. i shoot a couple shots dead on, then have one a 6inches or so off the mark, adjust the scope and its dead on for a few more and same thing. I shoot enough to know it isnt me. It is still true enough for me to shoot a groundhog in my back yard at about 75yds from my back porch. Cant complain.

i miss that gun lol... i had only shot a 20rd box of shells through it. sks's are notorious for scope problems. the other 3 i have had, i had the same problem.

ahhh, im not that worried about it. I would say it is the scope. I know that the recoil coming off my 30-06 is much greater and has no issues. Maybe a little higher end scope and some locktite if I feel like. Would love to put a scope on my 308.

Phillip, do you know how the barrel is attached to the receiver? The scope is on the receiver, right? Can you mount the scope to the barrel some way? Possibly a cantilever mount?

The mounts that go on the receiver are known for these issues because they get play even though they seem tight. All of my SKS had the same problem. If you think that's bad though try the same kind of setup on an AK47.... I loved how easy mine was to switch out but damn it moved to much.

it is mounted on the reciever and i really dont see any way to mount it on the barrell. Im not familiar with the setup you are talking about, i will probably google it here shortly.

Phillip, search for shotgun cantilever mount. Some shotguns have pinned barrels, that, while securely attaching the barrel to the receiver, will allow the barrel to move around a bit, independent of the receiver. A canteliver mount allows the scope to be mounted to the barrel, but still the appropriate distance from the shooters eye.

I don't know a thing about the AK and SKS, but they may have a similar setup. Then again, I may be WAY off base.

Tyree, PM me your number, I was trying to get in touch with you the other day, but I guess I have an incorrect number.

thinking i would rather have a nice hand gun instead if anyone has 1 with some cash or a couple nice hand guns i would trade or maybe a 4 wheeler let me know number is 606 271 8461 dont worry i pinned it so no need for a class 3 its easy to change to full auto if you need to kill some zombies though ahha.
